Hamas nod for Ground Zero mosque: ‘We have to build the mosque’

by Editors on August 16, 2010

The New York Post reports this morning:

A leader of the Hamas terror group yesterday jumped into the emotional debate on the plan to construct a mosque near Ground Zero — insisting Muslims “have to build” it there. “We have to build everywhere,” said Mahmoud al-Zahar, a co-founder of Hamas and the organization’s chief on the Gaza Strip. “In every area we have, [as] Muslim[s], we have to pray, and this mosque is the only site of prayer,” he said on “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio” on WABC.

“We have to build the mosque, as you are allowed to build the church and Israelis are building their holy places.” Hamas, he added, “is representing the vast majority of the Arabic and Islamic world — especially the Islamic side.”

The Post could not reach Imam Rauf, Daisy Khan, or apparently anyone from the Cordoba Initiative for comment.

Tim Brown, of theBravest.com, said, ”

“This is what we’ve been saying … Imam Rauf is a radical Muslim who will not call Hamas a terror group.” A retired firefighter who was a first responder on 9/11, Brown lost 100 of his FDNY friends at the Twin Towers. “How much evidence do we need that this guy is a radical Muslim?” he asked. “If Rauf really were a bridge builder and an interfaith guy and all the things he professes to be, he wouldn’t be doing this to people.”

Hamas continues to be designated a terrorist organization. It was first designated as such in 1995.

Sheikh Ahmed Yassin founded Hamas in 1987 as an offshoot of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood. In 2008, five leaders of the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) were federally prosecuted for transferring more than $12 million to Hamas. The Muslim Brotherhood also created the Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), and International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT), and both Egyptian Islamic Jihad (EIJ) and al Qaeda are offshoot organizations.

CAIR and ISNA were un-indicated co-conspirators, and the IIIT was shown to be one, in the HLF trial. The IIIT and ISNA financed a special edition of the publication of Ground Zero mosque imam’s book in 2007 for distribution to mosques and Islamic centers around America:

As a ret’d State Dept Arabist, I was interviewed a few years ago for the chief UNRWA job in Gaza—by the grace of Jesus Christ, I was spared that position.

The Ikhwan in Egypt are very adept at calving off organizations which try to subvert the Arab states they act in politically to a religious point of view. I have found the average Hamas member a clueless fanatical dolt, and al-Zahar in Gaza seems blissfully unaware that no Christian churches are allowed in Saudi Arabia, that Coptic Christians are routinely persecuted and murdered in Egypt, and that Islam’s track record for tolerance of other faiths ranges from slim to none. When I was a Political Officer at the US Embassy in Riyadh, I would routinely have to get American contract workers out of trouble or jail for having performed Christian services in the privacy of their own homes—they were ratted out by Muslim servants. Even Masonic rites were banned in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A former personal friend of mine is now Saudi Ambassador to the USA and routinely lies about his country’s wish to co-exist peacefully with countries following other religions.

The Ground Zero Mosque is a complete scam run by a suspected crypto-terrorist Al-Rauf and fits in nicely with the Muslim Brotherhood’s tactics of subversion and dissembling prior to advancing their agenda of disarming America.

Read Andy McCarthy’s “The Grand Jihad: How Islam and the Left Sabotage America” for details.

Does any politician seriously think that allowing the Muslims to build this Victory Mosque will pacify them or prevent further attacks? In fact, it will only encourage them, in the same way that allowing the Nazis to occupy the Rhineland led to their occupation of Austria, Czechoslovakia, Poland and then the whole of Europe.

The politicians should read the links under ‘Appeasement’ at EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ISLAM

The Islamic proponents of this project have stated that the purpose is to promote reconciliation and healing. During the week, Gov. Paterson called their bluff. Out of respect for New Yorkers’ sensitivities, he proposed setting aside state land in downtown Manhattan away from Ground Zero for the Islamic center if they agreed to relocate. They refused. Reconciliation and healing are all a sham, and the mosque will only serve to remind the public that the atrocities of 9/11 were not perpetrated by Eskimos.

I’ll tell you one thing for sure – this despicable act has created a significant increase in animosity towards muslims than existed before.
