Lamis Deek has been hired as a defense lawyer by Allowey Ahmed, the co-owner of a controversial Islamic center and mosque being built in a residential neighborhood in the Sheepshead Bay section of Brooklyn, New York. Ms. Deek’s selection confirms the worst fears of many opposed to the project. On June 17, 2010, Deek spoke at a meeting in Brooklyn where she said that after Israel is dissolved and the “one state” solution (Palestine) is imposed, the Jews there “Are welcome to stay on the condition that we see, as my mentor often says, the full dismantlement of all Zionist structures, all Zionist laws, all Zionist institutions.” Here’s the video:

The other co-owner of the project is the Muslim American Society (MAS) which, according to evidence introduced during the Holy Land Foundation trial, was founded by the U.S. branch of the Muslim Brotherhood. Also introduced at trial was the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood’s stated goal of “destroying” America’s “miserable house from within.”

Mohamed Atta, who led the 9/11 attacks upon our Nation, was born in the Nile delta and received his higher education in Germany. The ideology of Egypt’s “non-violent” Muslim Brotherhood led him to the jihad:

[Fellow German college student] Hauth, who travelled with him to Egypt, observed last week that Atta came from precisely that traditionally minded sector of the intelligentsia which was most outraged, and prejudiced, by the opening to the West that President Anwar Sadat initiated before his assassination in 1981.

When Atta arrived in Harburg 11 years later to study for the equivalent of an MSc in town planning, he left behind him a country once again drifting into turmoil as Islamic fundamentalists mounted a campaign to overthrow the government. In October 1992, the month Atta enrolled, it was reported from Cairo that terrorists would henceforth be tried before military courts. That decision set the stage for a brutal trial of strength marked by savage attacks on the one hand and, on the other, by widespread torture and the imprisonment of thousands of people without charge or trial.

Atta made no secret of where his sympathies lay. He had graduated from a faculty that was a hotbed of fundamentalist agitation and gone on to join the Engineers Syndicate, one of three professional associations controlled by the Muslim Brotherhood. [All emphasis added here ours]

In June 1997, Atta was laid off by Plankontor. The partners had bought a CAD system and his draughtsmanship was not needed. ‘When he was given his last sum of money, he got too much from us and he sent it back,’ recalled Frinken. ‘He said that he hadn’t earned it and he didn’t want any more’.

Machule said Atta then took a long break from his studies. The recollections of others show it could only have been in the period from the end of the academic year in 1997 to the start of the academic year in 1998 – a gap of 15 months which the Egyptian explained to his professor as being for family reasons.

It is striking that Atta’s absence coincided with an upsurge in violence directed against foreigners by an extremist group, Jama’ah al-Islamiyah, known to be linked to Osama bin Laden. It is even more striking that the victims of the first such attack, on a tourist bus in Cairo, which left nine dead and 11 injured, were Germans.

By the time Atta returned to Hamburg he was a changed man …

Rasmussen has just reported that the Ground Zero Mosque story topped the list of stories the American public followed:

“The story most closely followed by all Adults last year in Rasmussen Reports economic surveys was about plans to build a mosque near the site of the World Trade Center. In mid-August, 58% were following that story Very Closely, with another 27% following somewhat closely. This story attracted little attention until President Obama commented upon it and made it a national issue.”

President Obama commented on this issue in August, 2010, during the intense criticism and media attention created by the Coalition to Honor Ground Zero’s massive public education campaign, as well as our huge rally at the mosque site, and the public relations efforts that followed.

So what exactly is their, um, “Game”?

Mayor Bloomberg and Feisal Abdul Rauf, the imam behind the hugely controversial Ground Zero mosque, were all smiles last night as they posed with lefty blogger Arianna Huffington, who anointed them both “Game Changers.”

They were among the guests Huffington hosted at the Skylight Studio in SoHo at her party honoring “100 innovators, visionaries and leaders.”

If one picture is worth a thousand words, this one — the first of the three of them together — raises at least as many questions.

We take Imam Rauf at his word; he is for a worldwide caliphate and imposing discriminatory sharia law here in America. Dr. Andrew Bostom recently pointed out this telling passage from Rauf’s 1999 book ‘Islam: A Sacred Law: What Every Muslim Should Know About Sharia’.

“God’s role in the explicit philosophical construct of the law makes a big difference between the modus operandi of a righteous Muslim judge in a Muslim court and a righteous Western judge in a Western court. The judge who sits in judgment in an Islamic court sits in lieu of God as His worldly representative [khalifa] and is held responsible by God to His values. The Muslim judge explicitly ‘reports to God.’ The judge who sits in a Western court is only explicitly responsible to the Constitution, the interpretations of a civil law and its rules … And since a Shariah is understood as a law with God at its center, it is not possible in principle to limit the Shariah to some aspects of human life and leave out others.”

Mayor Bloomberg believes the government always knows best. He can not see sharia past the end of his vast fortune, sphere of influence, and personal legacy. Supporting a Ground Zero mosque aids his financial interests in the UAE. If Rauf builds at Ground Zero, he ought to change its name from Park51 to the Michael R. Bloomberg Memorial Mosque.

Arianna Huffington’s book titles and their release dates, ‘Greetings from the Lincoln Bedroom (1998)’, ‘How to Overthrow the Government (2000)’, and ‘Right is Wrong: How the Lunatic Fringe Hijacked America, Shredded the Constitution, and Made Us All Less Safe (2008)’, tell us all we need to know about her.

It comes as no surprise that she “honored” a big-government liberal Mayor and an Islamist as “Game Changers.” Huffington, Bloomberg, and Rauf all seek to impose systems upon the American people, for the government to dictate every aspect of our lives. From them, we can choose our poison: communism, socialism, or Islamism. We’ll pass.

Andrew Bostom writes today on the American Thinker of Bill O’Reilly’s challenge to Imam Rauf to “dedicate this mosque-community” overlooking Ground Zero as a “center-to peace.”

By offering to wield a hammer on behalf of the Ground Zero Mosque project, Mr. O’Reilly reveals his basic ignorance of Feisal Rauf’s expressed ideology, including the imam’s Sharia (Islamic Law)-based conception of “peace” itself — more accurately, a global Pax Islamica.

In other words, Rauf advocates for world peace by the establishment of a worldwide caliphate. There’d be no war, strife, crime, or dissent if only we’d all do exactly what the Koran dictates.

Is an Islamic center for the sole purpose of promoting the surrender of liberty something Bill O’Reilly would bring a hammer to help build? Clearly, his aim is to lure the imam onto his show for a debate. As Rauf never gives straight answers about sharia during American interviews, Dr. Bostom offers O’Reilly some history:

Rauf, in his 2004 “What’s Right With Islam” — released in Malaysia as, “A Call to Prayer from the World Trade Center Rubble: Islamic Da’wah From the Heart of America Post-9/11,” asserts that the US is in a state of “readiness” for the Sharia:

…[T]he American political structure is Shariah compliant, for a state inhabited predominantly by Muslims neither defines nor makes it synonymous with an Islamic state.

And Rauf also charts how the US could evolve toward what is clearly his ultimate goal — an Islamic State — beginning with a parallel Sharia judiciary:

…[It] also would not be a violation of church-state separation to have a subsidiary entity within judiciary that employs religious jurists…to comment on the compliance of certain decisions…to provide guidance on how Shariah compliant these decisions are…It can become truly Islamic only by virtues of a conscious application of the sociopolitical tenets of Islam to the life of the national, and by an incorporation of those tenets in the basic constitution of the country.

However it is Rauf’s earlier 1999 “Islam: A Sacred Law: What Every Muslim Should Know About Sharia” which makes unmistakably clear both the triumphal basis for his pious Muslim desire to impose Islamic Law, and the far reaching effects of this application:

Imam Feisal Rauf’s lucidly expressed views can be summed up as follows: Sharia über alles!

Do your homework, Mr. O’Reilly. Better yet, match Dr. Bostom up with Imam Rauf for an entire hour.

100 Candidates for Congress Openly Oppose Building a Ground Zero Mosque

New York, October 20, 2010 — The Coalition to Honor Ground Zero today launched its “Defend Ground Zero” campaign by announcing the names of 100 candidates for the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, from both sides of the aisle, who have spoken out publicly against the Ground Zero Mosque or have signed onto the Defend Ground Zero Statement. Our Coalition believes in freedom of faith. Yet mosque Imam Rauf advocates that Shariah law — political Islam — should rule all nations. Our Nation was founded in liberty; we should never stand silent while a discriminatory ideology is promoted. And we should not “tolerate” its promotion under guise of religion overlooking hallowed ground where genocide was committed and brave American heroes fell.

Although the candidates’ reasons for opposing the mosque vary, all appear to agree that, while the Cordoba Initiative may have a right to build a mosque, to erect it especially at Ground Zero would be an affront to those who perished in the worst attack ever launched against the homeland of the United States. Adding insult to grave injury, Imam Rauf has blamed the United Stated for bringing the 9/11 terror attacks upon ourselves.
